After a one-year hiatus in 2017, Vacation Bible School returned to the clock tower church in 2018, on August 13-17. The Reformed Church enrolled 35 local children. Once again the halls of the church annex rang with a joyful noise. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped out!
Laughter and joy, singing and art, a cool theme ... all made VBS a spectacular event for 35 children in mid-August. Making it such a success was the amazing leadership offered by Lauren McBride, Patty Kreamer, Nanette Malera, and Pastor Julia. Planning began months ago with the theme: Journey with Jesus, VBS camping. The lobby and hallways were decked out to complement the theme, and even food was collected for the local Food Pantry.
And, as great as the leaders were, so great were all the rest of the volunteer staff. It could never have been done without Nell MacDonald, Melissa Doellman-Brown, Emma Krebs, James Roche, Christopher Roche, Julia Mirabella, Frankie Morabito, Vincent Heintz, Jon Falconer, Melanie Urgiles, Siena Tornello, Brendan Roche, Georgine Morabito and Rebecca McNally.
