Reformation Sunday at the Old Dutch Church, with famed organist Kent Tritle

This season’s Old Dutch Fest culminated on Sunday October 27 with a special 10am worship service in celebration of Reformation Sunday.  The congregation was joined by Kent Tritle. renowned choral conductor and organist at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in Manhattan.

Kent made the majestic Noack tracker organ sing with works by Buxtehude and Bach, and accompanied our chancel choir in the anthem “How Firm a Foundation”.

After the service, Kent, a true pied piper, hosted some of our children up in the choir loft to demonstrate the capabilities of the organ.  The kids were amazed, and very appreciative of Kent’s generosity in taking the time!

Thank you Kent!
